Should i get a normal or pastel?

Ans : Is up to you. Some people wants to keep them as pets, a normal is the wild color of the ball python mutation. Yes, is cheaper than any other mutation of ball pythons and a good choice for a beginner who is just starting out like any other ball python mutation just cost will come to mind when u decide on which to start out.
Pastel on the other hand is a little bit more expensive compare to a normal but is the cheapest mutation which can produce some stunning morphs. If you wan something bright and yellow this is the ball for you or if u have intention of getting some mutation which needs a pastel.

What are western hognose snake?
The Western Hognose Snake is a light sandy brown in color, with darker brown or gray blotching, their coloration is not nearly as variable as the Eastern Hognose, Heterodon platirhinos, but they often have an ink-black and white or yellow checker patterned belly, sometimes accented with orange. They are very stout for their size (a full grown 24-inch female is as bulky as a five-foot corn snake) and can grow from 15 to 33 inches in length, with females generally being larger than males. The characteristic of all hognose snakes is their upturned snout, which aids in digging in the soil. Hognose Snakes are considered to berear-fanged venomous, but are not considered to pose any danger to humans and will only bite as a feeding response, rarely in defense. The defensive bite response is usually due to the temporary blindness experienced while shedding. Because the snake cannot see while shedding, it becomes paranoid and more aggressive.

One of the larger species of tarantula, the Chaco golden knee (Grammostola pulchripes), formerly known by Grammostola aureostriata, can be expected to reach between 20–22 cm (8.5 in). The Chaco Golden Knee tends to be one of the more docile and calm species of tarantula and therefore makes an attractive first pet. The Chaco is an opportunistic burrowing terrestrial tarantula: they tend to burrow while younger and adopt a pre-existing hide as its home when it begins to mature. It is quite flashy in appearance, bearing long light-colored hairs all over its body and gold stripes on its legs, particularly at the "knees". This is a good display species as it often sits in plain view.

These are incredibly gorgeous and docile beauties from southwestern Mexico.
They have fuzzy black femurs, bright red "knees" that fade and end at black feet, and orange carapaces.
They're not as common in the pet trade as some other Brachypelma species, but are just as hardy and long-lived as the ever popular.

Range: Southwestern Mexico, south of Colima
Habitat:  Moderately dry earth
Size: Medium tarantula. Fully grown, they're about 5 1/2" to 5 3/4" in legspan.
Attitude:  Usually very docile and slow-moving, but prone to occasional fits of hair flicking or skittishness.
Dwelling: Opportunistic burrowers that may use a provided shelter. Mine never uses her shelther and sits in the open with very little webbing.
Ideal Setup: A shallow, 3 to 5-gallon capacity enclosure with a thin layer of substrate, a shelter, and a water dish. Standard room humidity is fine. Keep the temp around 75-80 degrees F is possible.
Food: mealworms, super worms or crickets

Blizzard Cornsnakes

Blizzards are a combination of the Charcoal and Amelanistic genes. Some mature to be solid white while others may develop light yellow belly checkers and/or "lemon-lined" saddles. Hope to get one of this in the future *drools white snakes just will "take your breath away". Snow corns are another combination of amelanistic and anerystic genes which will result in another white snake. The difference is that the body are mostly white with pale blotches and yellowish chin and neck. Like below are some snow pictures

The Californian king snake (lampropeltis getula californiae) is a medium sized snake which are part of a group of snakes called colubrids which are a group of non venomous snakes

Is it venomous?

king snakes get their names from preying on other snakes in the wild even tackling such dangerous snakes that inhabit their environments such as the rattlesnakes which some claim they have a immunity to their potent venom

What is a Lavender cornsnake?
Lavender Corn Snakes contain a light pink background with darker purple gray markings and burgundy eyes or lavender gray saddle marks on an orangish background. Variation with this same genetic strain are arguably called mocha, cocoa, and chocolate.

Hypo lavender cornsnake?
A combination of Hypomelanistic and Lavender. A more pronounced lilac colouring is brought out by the hypomelanism, with males tending to have a more pronounced pink colouring than females. Also named 'Cotton Candy'.
Above are 1.1.0 Hypo Lavender cornsnakes which i had kept since end of last year. 2nd pic is the male and last pic is the female(not 100% sure). It was sold to me as 1.1.0. Pictures were taken on 18/1/11.

Finally got one of my 2010 wishlist, a pastel ball python.
I got him around sept 2010 this picture was taken when he was first with me. I haven't got the time to snap the current size of this beauty. He is just merely reaching 90 grms when i first got him now he is up to 200++ grms, growing steadily and getting more beautiful each day. Hedgehogs Update

Just a quick update on my hedgehogs. =D

Those who have been following my blog since last year know that i got a pair of hedgehogs. A 1.0.0 Salt and Pepper(pong) and a 0.1.0 Albino(ping). Both gave me a hog-let early this year a 1.0.0 Salt and Pepper(butt butt). The pair gave me another batch of hog-lets this time 3 of them born on the 2nd October 2010. I expect them to be all salt and pepper.

P/S- the hog-lets are not for sale yet maybe in the future if i decide to sell them i will post them up for sale. For now i just got the one on the for sale section of this blog available( a salt and pepper male 5 mths old). Enjoy the pictures of the 3 new hog-lets taken at 3 days of age. =D

Crayfish are scavengers, and eat mostly vegetative matter, although they do need some protein in their diet as well. They will eat many commercial fish foods including sinking algae wafers, shrimp pellets, and many freeze dried or flake foods. It's a good idea to include a lot of fresh foods in their diet as well.

The crayfish tank will need a good filter; be sure you cycle it just like you would for a fish tank. Most North American crayfish are coldwater, so you won't need to heat the tank; however, if yours comes from a tropical environment, be sure you keep the water in the correct temperature range. 25-50% water changes should be performed weekly. Use a good dechlorinator before adding the new water to the tank. It's also a good idea to add liquid calcium to the water. This will aid in the development of the crayfish's exoskeleton, and will make the molting process go much more smoothly. I usually add 2-3 drops every other day for a 10 gallon tank.

The Spotted Green Puffer is a very cute adorable little fish. It is very playful, active, and curious making it a joy to watch. It has a great personality as well and will come to recognize its owner, getting excited when it sees you.

Although this puffer will do well if kept singly as it can be an aggressive fin-nipper, it can also be kept with others of its own kind as well as other species. Be certain that for a community setting you choose large non-aggressive tank mates and a good sized aquarium.

Provide plants and rockwork arranged in such a way that they break the line of sight and offer hiding places, but still provide open areas swimming. The natural habitat of this fish is in fresh to brackish waters. You can see on the distribution map below where it has been discovered.
